 Hi!
My name is Dr. Tasha Kirkpatrick, and I am very excited to be the newest
veterinarian here at Family PetCare! I was raised in a small town in
Mississippi, where I developed a deep passion for helping animals. I graduated
with a BS in Animal and Dairy Science from Mississippi State University in 2006.
I received my Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from Mississippi State
University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2009, with the honor of being
initiated into the Veterinary Honor Society, Phi Zeta.
After graduation, I was uncertain which aspect of veterinary medicine suited me
best. I had a strong interest in small animal medicine and surgery, and I
was accepted to participate in a small animal rotating internship at a specialty
veterinary hospital in Austin, Tx. I spent 12 months working with board
certified veterinary surgeons and veterinary internists at Central Texas
Veterinary Specialty Hospital. While there, I developed and sharpened my skills
in small animal surgery and internal medicine. after completion of my internship
, I felt that my calling was in small animal private practice. However, I still
have a strong interest and passion for surgery and internal medicine.
I have been happily married to my husband, Ryan, for nearly 4 years. We have 2
crazy Boxers, a rotten English Bulldog, and a cat that thinks he's a dog. These
are truly our "children". We really enjoy spending time outdoors with our
critters, but we do occasionally get away on our motorcycle and cruise around
town.
I am very excited to be a new member of the Family PetCare team. I may
talk a little funny with my slow southern drawl, but I look forward to working
with each and every one of "ya'lls" furry family members! |
