 My
name is Dr. Melissa Goode. I graduated from Texas A & M with a Bachelor of
Science in 1985, and from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990, (and, yes,
I am a classmate of Drs. Morton and Johnson). I worked for 7 years at a 24 hour
hospital in Arlington where I enjoyed the fast pace of emergency medicine. I left emergency practice to do relief work
to allow for more time to raise
my four boys.
My interests in veterinary medicine include critical care medicine, internal medicine, feline medicine,
and behavior. I am pleased to be joining the Family PetCare team.
I grew up in San Angelo, Texas on a small farm. I always had a menagerie of
animals including a horse, dogs, cats, sheep, ducks, and hamsters. I showed
dogs for many years in both obedience and confirmation. I now live in
Southlake with my husband, Craig, and our 4 boys and two cats, Twister and
Jeri.
I enjoy riding horses and I am an avid horse racing fan. I also enjoy
running 5K races with my husband and 12 year old son.
